Every calculator runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter is sent to a server or stored by us. Fixed-rate payments use semi-annual compounding as required for Canadian fixed-rate mortgages under the Interest Act, which produces slightly lower payments than the monthly-compounding formulas used by most U.S. calculators.
Qualification rules (stress test, debt-service ratios, down payment tiers and insurance premiums) are reviewed regularly against federal guidance and published insurer rates. Each tool shows the date its rules were last reviewed, and each one links to an in-depth guide explaining the rule behind it.
